Recently I have been hatching and selling more Copper Marans and have found that some people would rather not buy from me because I am not NPIP certified (understandably so). I have given this some thought in the past but lately, I have been considering doing this, the problem is- it seems so darn complicated. I am in Ohio and I just feel like the website doesn't give you a lot of information. What has everyone experience with this been?

I started the process but was told last year that it's prioritized by farm size/intentions and that they need more testers. Then they told us when tester training was, if we wanted to do that. I was able to get more information by emailing those listed online. I haven't been in a hurry to resume the effort since I'm not shipping birds or eggs or showing. We're hatching for our own and only selling the extras locally.

We still went ahead and made it a point to not add any new birds, just to see if I could manage that part of it.
