getting started

I live in northern Vermont (Morrisville) and am starting to plan for a pigeon coop this comin g spring. Any advice on resources would be greatly appreciated. Most of the sites I have looked up for purchasing the initial birds seem focused on birds for hunting practice....where do you get good starting stock? I am thinking of this from a food perspective

Depends on if you want them for any other reason, flying, or showing, and eating the extra, or just a food bird/pigeon ,, if the later is what you want then shoot for Kings,
As far as loft goes, make it snug for winter... and think about water freezing.. in the drinkers... consider size you need..go from there...
