I'm no expert my any stretch of the imagination, but aren't they roos when they walk upright like that?

I'm also no expert, but the upright stance and sparse feathering on the legs make me think Langshan roo more than Cochin anything.

Could this be a rooster? He/she squares off with another young rooster all the time....

That second one is a roo judging by the saddle feathers, comb, wattles and giant legs!

I agree that the second one looks like a roo. I have 4 Giant Cochins that are 19 weeks old. I only have one hen. She has almost no comb and no wattles at all. All my boys do. And she NEVER stands up like that. May just be her but she's always pretty low to the ground. The stance of yours plus the comb/wattles would make me think roo. Out of my 3 boys, I have two that crow a lot. I have one that I'm sure is a roo but has never crowed and acts more like a hen. I had almost convinced myself he was a girl until I saw him try to mount the girl a few days ago. Good luck! I love my Cochins!
