giant cochin?

    ok so when i bought my chicken at ace it said it was a giant cochin but i cant find any info on her help

    Giant Cochins are just large fowl cochins, as opposed to bantam cochins. Just look for large fowl, or just cochin.

    Giant Cochins are just another word for standard-size Cochins.

    So what about exhibition cochins? I was told they were a larger than standard size cochin.

    Nope, I think it's just like the difference in show/heritage birds and hatchery birds of pretty much any breed. A hatchery Orp vs a nice exhibition Orp is probably quite a size difference, also.

    Heritage breeds are usually huge compared to hatchery birds of the same breed.
