Haha so as Gil’s colors are coming in, I am feeling more and more stupid.

Is it not beyond obvious she has buff orpington in her!!
Well I texted my friend that has the huge mixed flock that Gil came from. She was pretty certain Gil’s mom was a fawn and white runner and dad was a white crested before today. I sent her these pics and said “Do you have any buffs? Gil looks like a buff now!” And she said “I’d bet $2,000 if you did a gene test, her mom would be fawn and white runner and dad is buff Orpington.” There’s a possibility her dad could be a grey created mix but I’m guessing the dad was buff!!!
I’m just happy to know now! Any thoughts between they grey created mix vs. Buff?

@Miss Lydia Thank you! @Jpat Me too!

But wait guys... I did a lot of gene color digging today....
I also dug threw a lot of old posts...
A member that I don't think is very active anymore had posted a pic of her duck back in 2015.
@IzziesChickies
Her duck is a mix between Fawn and white runner X Kahki Campbell hybrid.
This duck looks identical to Gilberta except this duck has an orange bill and Gil's is dark brownish-purple coloring.
I know my friend has Kahki's in her flock but she was pretty sure it was a buff for dad.
Does this identical duck mean my friend might be wrong?! She has a HUGE flock of ducks and geese that live very happily together! She has well over 25 ducks though of many different breeds. She knows who likes mating with who and she knew for a fact the egg came from fawn and white runner.
They have matching colors down their backs, EXACTLY. They also have the same white necklace that isn't 100% complete. Literally the only difference is bill color.
Izzie's duck first, then pics of Gil that I tried to take to show the similarities between them.

It's crazy how similar they look. It really makes me think they must be of the same hybrid.

My kahki has that pattern. Different colors but still. Truthfully i always thaught your duck looked like a KC when she was younger when you first started posting

A lot of people originally thought Kahki!!! I am not going to sleep at night EVER again. I am so impatient and just want to know her breed so badly for no good reason! :bow:barnie I keep asking my friend what she thinks and every time I suggest Gil looks like something else, she changes her answer to that breed! She's really particular on the buff dad thing though. I really don't know because the bill color is the color of a Kahki bill. I do believe though (correct me if I am wrong) \no other breed has that exact color bill. There for, that would put Kahki in her gene's somewhere. I am so frustrated I can oder a DNA test for my dog but not my duck!
