I hatched 6 buff barred cochins July 4. I wing-tip sexed them at 3-7 days. The jaggedy wings got no dots, the straight, short wings got blue dots(boy).

Today I'm to rehome 1 pullet, 2 cockerels. found today my favorite pullet, a heavily feahtered buff barred, had gotten a red comb & wattles --overnight, as it were.

That leaves only 2 chicks with tiny, buff combs.

Problem is, one of those pullets was marked "boy" and has scanty feathering at 6 weeks -healthy, yes, but scanty.
    Is she a he?

This one has more feathering. Is she a she?

I've also found 2 of my 3 heavily feathered "girls" have red, jagged combs & wattles.

I've raised cochins before, and the girls were always the first to feather our.

Doe anyone have explanation of this and opinions?

I need advice by 3 pm EST, when I give the boys away & keep the girls!

    Thanks!

A guess since this hasn't been answered - the white one is a boy. So cute!
