Giving baby chicks cooked egg yolk?

    I was advised to give chicks from day old cooked egg yolk, never done it before and never heard of it so wondered if anyones got any advice!

    Egg yolk is good food for chicks, but remember chicks can live for up to 3 days on what they absorbed in the egg. So they don't have to eat at 1 day old yet, but you can offer water. If you offer food other than crumble you must give them some grit as well. To help break down the food. Coarse sand is fine for small chicks.
