We're giving our gander a tablet medication. Although he didn't like it or had even spit out the tablet, the past few times still succeeded eventually. The most recent one, however, seemed different. When he spit the tablet out, there's something regurgitated as well. Is this normal? If not, what action should I take for the gander's safety and health? (Vets aren't available for now. We still had him swallow the tablet eventually but are concerned about the regurgitation.)

What medication is he taking? What dosage is he taking?

Why’s he taking the medication?

Can you describe what it was that he regurgitated?
(Thanks for the questions allowing me to know what more details to give)

He's taking Doxycycline (antibiotics). 2 tablets per day. The story behind his taking it is possible mold infection: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/help-needed-gander-seems-sick-with-severe-gaping.1542210/

What was regurgitated seems to be what he drank/ate (but partially processed by his digestive system as it looked like something between fresh food and feces) and maybe a little bit of digestive fluid (I'm not sure).
