Goat rough delivery

I had a goat go into labor today water broke and then nothing happened. I checked her because she is a small girl and this was an accident I think the baby was just too big for her called vets in town and got no answer same with ones we tried out of town. A guy down the road that has cattle came and helped pull it took about 2 hours of pulling and baby was out. He didnt make it and momma is not looking good. She is very swollen I am applying prep h to her and have given her 2 cc of penicillin along with some nutridrench and probios. Is there anything else I can do for her pain she is laying flat in the hay so I put some hay behind her in an effort to prop her up some isnt bleeding but is very swollen. I milked one side of her and she passed the placenta I cant get to the other side due to the way she is laying. I am calling the vet in the morning to see if there is any pain medicine he can give but in the mean time is there any human meds that would be safe? Also is there anything else I should be doing for her?
I just really want to save this girl I feel awful about all this.

I wouldn't use prep H on her. If you have Banamine, that would be good. Dose is 1cc per 100 lbs. You have to get this from the vet. I would see if you can get some Banamine from them now.

Aspirin- 325 mg

For treatment of:
This is anti-inflammatory, that also reduces temperature and is a pain killer.
Goat dose: Oral
1 regular aspirin per 10 pounds.
Milk withholding time: 24 hours
Notes:
Aspirin is poorly absorbed from the rumen so a relatively high dose is needed.

Drug Name:

Ibuprofen

For treatment of:
This is anti-inflammatory, that also reduces temperature and is a pain killer.
Goat dose: Oral
Double human dose
Milk withholding time: 24 hours

If you can't get Banamine, but have asprin (not tylenol) or ibuprofen on hand it might be helpful to get this to her quicker. you can then ask the vet how long until you can give Banamine or another pain killer. Maybe something with molasses or something to get her engergy up will help too.

Has she passed the placenta?

Is she responsive or just laying flat and out of it?

If she is responsive I would try to get her up and walking.

Gosh I really hope there is no internal bleeding

Last nigh I milked her and she did pass the placenta. She was not looking good last night, but I think she may be doing a little better today she has been up standing and walking a little. She has ate a little grain this morning and some hay and I am still giving her nutridrench. She also drank an 8 oz bottle of apple flavored pedialite and some water on top of that. Im just praying she doesnt get infection. She doesnt act in much pain today but I know she is sore.
I had read that prep h was good for the swelling and pain after a hard birth thats why I was using that it did seem to have helped.

It sounds like you are doing what you can. I think you'll need to get her meds for infection. Have you talked to your vet today? I would get the antibiotics in her as quickly as possible. Also, be sure to offer Probios too. Keep us posted - I'm so sorry for your loss. Holding good thoughts and sending them your way.

Except for a pain killer I think you have everything else covered. I'm not sure about using aspirin or anything that will thin the blood.
That poor gal! I hope she makes it! I can't even imagine how much that must have hurt. Goats are tough. Good Luck!​

If she's up and walking some that's a very good thing. We don't have goats, but I know when we have a hard pull with one of our cows or heifers, they often times have nerve damage which makes getting up and walking very hard, if not impossible for them. Just takes them time to heal up.
