I am going into lockdown today!

WooHooo. This is my second hatch in a bator, my first went really well, only one egg out of 9 didn't hatch. Hoping for the same results this time. I have some bantams and some standards haching this time. Should I be expecting anything different with having both sizes due to hatch on the same day?

It seems like I might have read on here somewhere that bantams sometimes hatch earlier than standards?

I was just checking the temp (for the 100th time!

) and I have 2 pips already! Those chicks are getting ready to make there entrance into this world a little earlier than I anticipated!

I've got 10 of 20 viable after candling. 2 others were left in just in case, but I am 90%+ sure they are no good.

That's actually a really good rate for this batch. 15 of the eggs were shipped & 5 were from a male I didn't think was doing his job (I was right...only 1 of those developed.)

The Kinder Major candled her Silkie eggs and moved them into the hatcher last night. Sometime Tuesday evening to Wednesday we should have chicks.
