So as many of you know our Army life will come to and end soon. Just waiting on the percentage and then we will hightail it as soon as possible. After spending what seems forever looking for something out in the country for a decent price that we can pay off fast, we finally found something. It a 3/2 singlewide sitting on two acres. 1/2 cleared and 1/2 wooded, the land is fairly level and already has a shed on it. Its in an unincooperated town named Anneta near Leitchfield Ky. Hope my hubby will like it and we can put earnest deposit down to hold it until the taxes come in. Then we finally get the livestock we wanted and can plant a garden too. First thing my son wants to do is break out the metal detector.

That's so exciting! Recently moved onto a similar piece of land. Two acres, small home and a shed, creek splits it halfway with one half wooded and one half cleared (I aim to keep it that way as I love having the woods to walk through). Even though we bought much less land to start off with than originally planned, we find we have more than enough projects to keep ourselves occupied for years to come. Good luck with the move and enjoy yourselves!

What I love even more is that public hunting and a lake are less than a mile from the house. kids are happy because they would be bus riders again and not walkers.

It sounds lovely! 2 acres is a nice sized piece of ground--big enough ya'all can spread out and have your animals and garden, but not so big it's a full time job just taking care of the place. I pray your family will find peace there.
