going to pick up our chicks in 2 weeks

we will be driving over to estes hatchery to get our chicks on the 27. we are getting 25 pullets there choice. It will be a 1 hour drive i hope they will be fine on the drive home. everyone here is so excited im hoping to get some buff orpintions with the mix

Cool, I got keets from them and I really like their customer service. Keets are cute too.

im thinking of adding some keets to my order but i know nothing about raisng them.

I thought that their last keet hatch was this week, though it's possible they've got some leftovers. Lots of people on the board can help with keet info. The main difference I've found is feeding them a bit more protein. I also think they are a bit more sensitive to temperature fluctuations.

I am keeping them with my chickens. Some people said they've had problems with bullying the chickens but others haven't had any problems.

I see it as one grand experiment!
