Hi, Im new here. I just hatched my first chicks two days ago. I have a BPR rooster, BPR hens and one golden comet hen. How do I tell the sex of the GC chicks. They are off white with black spots. I know GC pullets are red, cockerels are white. So does this mean they are all cockerels? Here are some pictures. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! [IMG][IMG]

Golden comets are only sex linked the first generation - because it is a careful cross of two specific genetic make ups that produce the sex linking. Eggs hatched from your GC hen will not result in sex linked chicks. The chicks that have hatched from the GC hen are simply mixed breed birds and gender differentiation will have to wait until the chicks have reached a point where other physical clues start to give you the answer.
