My chickens just started laying their first eggs (so exciting). Yesterday there were two small white eggs. Today there was one large golden egg (really). Can anyone give me any input on this. I am just a newbie at this. Could this just be a golden blessing? I have attached a picture.[IMG]

Since I am new at this I'm not positive but I believe they are 2 EE, 2 leghorns, 2 reds & 1 black? I am really stumped over this egg because it is even metallic looking.

Thank you so much HumblenHen. I certainly hope she keeps laying them. They are beautiful.

You sure someone isn't playing a trick on you? Have you tried cracking it open yet?

No I haven't opened it yet because it is so new and one of the first. But the hen house was still locked and we have two big dogs and they didn't bark. I'll let you know when I do crack it open.
