    Hi,

We have just got some chickens for the first time and I have read what I can find on sexing them but they are growing slightly differently so I was wondering if they actually are both hens. They are golden laced wyandottes and are about 5 months old in the pictures. Can anyone tell me if Lucy and Tilly are both hens? Lucy has the darker feathers and is in the front and on the right in the pictures. She (hopefully?) is a bit bigger than Tilly and her tail is a bit more upright and blue.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    I'm not sure...?

My first pics were from last week but looking closer at the wattles from these two pictures this morning and I was thinking rooster..? Although the wattles aren't as big as your roosters. She/he is a bit over 5 months in these pics.

You can really see those saddle feathers starting to come in on the new pics. I would say Lucy is Luke.

Looks to me like you have a pair there. Lucy is a boy.
