Have any of you heard of a "splash" golden pheasant?
nope and i dont think people should mix breed.
I just googled them an from the few pictures of splashes they show, their pretty birds!
Quote:"Splash" is not a breed. It is the result of a single gene. The golden pheasant is one species, and colors such as salmon, cinnamon, yellow, etc. are the result of just one difference (or two differences, in the case of salmon or other combinations) in a gene. A splash golden pheasant is no more different from any other golden pheasant than are different colors in poodles.
Yep, I am planning on getting a pair or 2 hens this october. I love the hens pattern!
