Golden pheasant varieties

    Have any of you heard of a "splash" golden pheasant?

    I just googled them an from the few pictures of splashes they show, their pretty birds!

The golden pheasant is one species, and colors such as salmon, cinnamon, yellow, etc. are the result of just one difference (or two differences, in the case of salmon or other combinations) in a gene. A splash golden pheasant is no more different from any other golden pheasant than are different colors in poodles.
