I am having a hard time deciding if my baby is a rooster or a pullet. From the front it looks like a rooster, but from the back it looks like a pullet. This is my first chick and I am as noob as they come so tell me your thoughts please. I am really hoping for pullet.

I know the golden sexlinks are sexed by color at hatch, Im not sure if the lighter ones are boys or the darker ones and then vise verse for the girls. Let me check another thread

The other thread said males are white/lighter females are dark, but I still think there are chances when females are light.

In gold sexlinks, the males are lighter than the females and end up basically white with gold/reddish shading in the wing areas.

Are all birds hatched with the start of the feathers? Mine looks nothing like the chick that has wing feathers on the other thread. I will post a pic of what my babies look like.

That's a pullet. The gsl males are very light yellow almost white and they feather out that way with a small amount of red usually in the wing feather's.
