    Hey Ya'll,

I have been following this site for a while until I got the guts to start my backyard chickens. All I was looking for was some eggs, not meat yet. I settled on 2 RIR's about 3 weeks ago. The wife and my son had to name them. Now we have Bella and Nemo. I was rushed into completion of my coop due to Nemo realizing she could fly up to the top of our back fence about a week ago. Talk about a shock for me. Now I have Nemo that has bubbles, runny nose and rough (labored) breathing. I'm treating with Vet Rx until my order for Oxine and other items come in. She has no other problems. She is eating, drinking, scratching as she did on day one. I hope I'm not going crazy on my intro but I figure that is is never a good time to let a crisis go to waste. My plan is, as long as things stay as is, wait until I get the Oxine in then treat both birds at night for 3 nights then weekly after until symptoms improve. Is there anything wrong with my assumption. I think it is obvious, I'm new to chickens. Thanks again for being here. I have learned so much so for, but now realize I have so far to go.

    Ed
