Good Laced Polish Cockerel?

I’ve been raising a bunch of chicks for my mom, and I told her I would keep any boys since she’s terrified of them, lol. This Gold Laced Polish (bearded) is throwing me off. Some days I’m certain it’s a Cockerel, other days I think it’s just wishful thinking, hoping it’s a Pullet for my mom’s sake, but also hoping it’s a Cockerel for my sake. Anyway, I can’t figure out if it’s it’s (trimmed) crest throwing me off or what.

16 or 17 weeks? Hatched in early May. I meant to post that.

I’m supposed to bring the chicks to her on Thursday (West TN to Northern VA) so I felt like they should be old enough to tell by now, at least.

Lol chickens tend to decide what to do when no matter what we think. my suggestion is keep it with you just in case lol I don't deal with them but a friend bought some black and white polish ones from someone needinging to rehome their flock, the males crest looks tlike they'd been on a 3 day party binge while the hens we close and composed

Yeah, I’ve had Polish in the past. I trim the crests because we’ve had issues with aerial predators, and I keep looking at what i’m thinking are saddle feathers. His/her crest does seem less crazy, and more smoothed back and neat when it’s full.

Okay, I finally got hands on her and i’m fairly certain it’s a Pullet. No comb developement, no red waddles, no saddle feather growth...

Also, she has the most gorgeous blue legs.
