hello everyone, i believe i have found the treasure chest of chicken info [IMG] my family and I are raising chickens for the first time in a long time.

we have a small family wanna be farm with peas/peppers/strawberries/garlic etc etc and now chickens! I am a paramedic by trade and old army as well.

our neighbor gave me 19 chicks of unknown type to me, but after research and looking at his i believe they are langhorns as they look exactly like the representation on this website.

i have 18 left but still waiting on the combs to clue me in on which sex etc i have. i was told i have 2 roos and 16 hens at the start but who knows.

i believe the age are about 6weeks (well since i got them from the hatchery (from the neightbor). they were very small and all 19 fit into a medium dog carrier and took up only half of it haha. now they are about hrm 1 lb each and getting big. they all have combs and the ones on their chins (sorry forgot what they are called)

anyway glad to be here and i have alot of info to read up on so...

thanks for the great reading opportunity
