My RR developed a soft, fluid-filled swelling underneath and between her legs. The feathers were coming out, and she huddled in the corner most of the time. After bathing the area, I tried to see if she was eggbound, but felt no hardness. I read I would have felt the egg. Is that right? I separated her and gave her some special treats, thinking she was dying. After almost 2 weeks, she perked up, and survived! I had researched and diagnosed lymphoid leukosis. Has anyone else had a similar experience? What else should I have done? This happened just after the molt. Is that related? She is about two years old.

No info I can offer. Just happy you have a healthy bird! Congratulations!.... Just buried another chicken that was somehow killed INSIDE the run... Going to do some lie detector testing later.....The other chickens have a guilty look on their beaks.
