The usual routine in the late is to go out collect eggs and open the run for a couple of hours for the birds to forage the yard and surrounding woods.

Checked nest box, nothing, glanced around the raised coop, all five layers had laid in the back corner. First time ever for five.

Checked around for obvious stuff including wet nest box (we had a lot of rain yesterday). No clues.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? We are curious to know what is going on.

However laid in that spot first deliberately scooped out the pine shavings to make a nest and the others must have followed suit.

as said they kind of follow the leader when it comes to laying eggs.they may start back to laying in the nestboxes who knows.
