    Hey all.
I was wondering what are some good online hatcheries to order chicks from. Any of your favorites? What are the pros and cons of them?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

i have ordered from Ideal and Meyers - both have been great to work with, but I must admit that my cornish cross last year from Meyers were fantastic and i will order them again in the spring.

    have a great New year!

Meyer seems to have the best pricing in my opinion

Mcmurray and Ideal seem to be favorites. If you're new to chickens and want a smaller flock (for now), mypetchicken.com has numerous breeds and the minimum is three, whereas at Mcmurray (and Ideal, I think...) the min. is 25. You'll want to read up in the "Chicken Breeders and Hatcheries" section.

edited to add: Meyer seems to be popular too, though I haven't ordered from them yet. This should probably be moved to the hatcheries section.

I ordered all of mine from Meyer and was very happy with them. My understanding is that My Pet Chicken is just a middle man that is supplied by Meyer.

Well, looks like Meyer or My Pet Chicken is my best bet!

    Thanks all!

I ordered from Welp in September, all of my girls are doing great. I received all pullets as requested, without any roos for transport.
