I want to start breeding my flock and setting my own eggs to incubate.. I was just wondering..

What is the best ratio of hens to Roosters for maximum fertility?

I have heard 1 rooster to every 4 females is good, and this was the plan i was going to follow? Is there a better one? I tried to do some research on here about the subject but could not find any immediate results. If someone knows (which im sure they do) Please let me know!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I think for good fertility the ratio is 10 hens to 1 rooster, hopefully somebody else can chime in
