Goofy ? About Black Sunflower Seeds

I started feeding black sunflower seeds to my flock a few days ago. I mix it into their scratch grains so they can get some extra protein. I was noticing today some black poo in the run. Is that from the seeds or do I have something else going on?

Maybe it is just because its a "new food" added to their diet? I don't know, but I fed BOS everyday to my flock without any adverse affect.

I add a handful of BOS to about 2 cups of wild bird seed, or scratch. They instantly pick out all the BOS!

They love it...and the extra protein is super good for them.

I would just watch it carefully, but at this point I wouldn't be too very concerned.

Ours get a hnadsful of BOSS every day too, and they love them. I've also noticed thier feathers seem to be glossier and shinier now as well.
