Goose laid egg our of season

One of my female toulouse just laid an egg. She went through the normal laying process this spring and laid 40 + eggs. Is it normal for them to lay a few in the fall?

I have had geese lay a fall clutch of eggs. Especially if they have not raised goslings that year.

it appears so and more so this year, some of our members are hatching eggs as we speak and some have been able to find gosling this time of year.
