Hi! My drake presented with this swollen neck just a little bit ago. He’s not acting himself and I’m concerned it’s a clog!!! He’s not eating or honking- any ideas with possible solutions? Thank you so much

Thank you!
Unfortunately he’s not on my propery, but I’ll be able to check him physically in a little bit- it looks like a blocked crop to me from pics, but we’re taking him to a vet first thing.

Most of the time if the crop is emptying by the next morning, it should be empty and flat. If it is hard, giving some chips of chilled coconut oil or a stool softener (colase or doccusate sodium) then massaging the crop may help to soften an impaction. Occasionally, crop surgery may need to be done to empty the crop and flush it out. Having him seen by a vet would be beat.
