Anyone have a small cheap incubator for sell, trade or free?
Just got my 1st hen n rooster bout 6wks ago. 6 small eggs within the last 2wks.
She not brooding n my gf wants chicks. $free.99

Craigslist often has them listed in the farm and garden section. Usually around $35 here.

This is not a common time of year for hens to start brooding. What breed is she and how old?

Welsumer are very pretty birds!

If she just started laying, I would not yet hatch. I like to give them a little while to mature so their reproductive system can work out any hiccups and give you less possibility of deformities.

I was thinking that they would be ok in a fish tank with all the amenities.
I got people asking me for chicks. How long before they are ready for me to give to friends n family?
