Got an incubator for a birthday gift. Any advice?

My kids bought me an incubator with automatic turner for a birthday gift. It's on order - should arrive sometime this week. I've never incubated eggs before, so I was hoping that experienced folks would give me some advice. Best places to get hatching eggs, things you wish someone had told you before you incubated your first batch, etc. The incubator is a Hovabator Genesis 1588.

You'll like your incubator.....I've got three of the 1588s.

If you have fertile eggs from your own hens or can get some locally for your first hatch those always hatch better than shipped eggs.

Thanks! That information is helpful. I only have hens. So I will have to get my hatching eggs elsewhere.
