Have Been Letting My Four Month Olds Free Reign On The Yard From Morning Feeding Till Dark. Last Night Our Sons Coach Surprised The Team With Pizza After The Game, So We Didn't Get Back Till After Dark. Found Four Of The Flock On Top Of Thier Run, And Four In The Coop. Had Trouble Finding One Cause They All Huddled Together In The Back Corner. But Everyone Made It Back In Ok. Had A Flood Light On The Compound, So I Think That's Why The Four Weren't Ready For Bed. Lol. Was A Bit Nervous Before I Found Them All Though. Haven't Had Any Predators That I Know Of Though. Probably Cause Of Our Black Lab Cabled Near Them/////////////

We're in the country. Until we moved we had a light on inside the coop to draw the chickens in. If the light isn't on, they'll not go in. HTH!

I've physically put mine in the coop at dusk for a few days, then put about half in and watched to ensure the rest went in, now they all go right in at dusk.
