Well, I am finally a chicken owner. I now have two astrolorps, 2 white with black Brahmas, 1 buff-o, and 1 golden comet. By the way can anyone tell me what a golden comet is? It was really pretty and so I got it to round out my 6 hens.
I am so excited to watch my chicken TV now. The Brah. really stand out on the grassed enclosure. I think they are all happy hens. I dipped each ones beak in the water and food as I took them from their cages and they started right off to eat and sing.
They are so pretty right now. I think I'll hush and just go watch.

I wanted Delewares but there was none to be found. No barnevelders either. The Brahams were a last minute thing but they are so pretty, all fluffy white and black. They really look neat in the chicken pen below on the grass, which I am sure will not last long. There is a rooster of ? heritage that comes over from next door and crows. He is very frustated right now because he can't get to the hens. He is so funny dancing around and putting his wings down. Poor fellow he is mostly banty of some kind, so no hen of mine is going to consort with him. Ha!!! Jean
