My first time with the pressure canner was the recipe for boston baked beans. In my book its on page 64. Simple and tasty it was great for the first run. Beats the heck out of store baked beans too. Im canning at altitude so I really like the fact that I dont have to change the times just the pressure. My small canner is preset for the pressure I need and just does small batches which I love. I use the large canner frequently as well and if yours is a lrage one think about making 7 or 8 quarts of stock and canning it. Nothing as tasty as home made stock when making soups and stews.
