Got our Baby Girls today!!

I ordered 7 RIR, and silly me brought my 3 and 5 year olds with me to pick them up. So we also came home with a Barred Rock and Mottled Java. Anyone have information on the two unexpected ones? I'll post pics tomorrow.

They are peeping away so quietly in their brooder. Then they all sleep for about 10 minutes then up a gain. My cats are very curious, and one dog tried digging in the side of the box. Now there are baby gates around the brooder, at least for a few days when the dogs are inside.

I have a question - could something about them cause my 5 yrs old to get sick? He only pet his twice, and none of the rest. Thinking it is just coincidence.

I can't say anything about your 5yo. My DS grew up around chickens and spent a lot of time with them and they never made him sick, but it could be yours has an allergy or, like you said, it could be coincidence. Hopefully it's the latter!
