My friend may have to give his hen to us if the city won't allow chickens(even though there was significant support for chickens at the public hearing). We have a variance which allows us to own ours, they were for educational purposes. Sassy here has some interesting features. She look rooish but is certainly a hen. Anyone have an idea of what breed she is? Or is she a mix?

 Wow, a hen that has the face of a rooster! I think Sassy is a just production breed cross.

She does! I noticed her size when walking up and her dark face. Me too, or New Hampshire Red or something. I don't think she's one breed because of her dark head and light body.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately my friend informed me that she got killed yesterday by some animal while in her run. [IMG]
