Is the Purina Flock Raiser okay to feed to 8 week olds and layers? If you mix Layena and Flock Raiser would it be okay to feed to 8 week olds?

Yes, It's fine to feed it to them. If you go to the TSC website, you'll find it under feed and it'll give you all of it purposes. Hope this helps! [IMG]

Quote:No. Layena is for chickens 18 weeks or older. There's much more calcium in Layena, which can harm younger birds. Flock Raiser is for birds up to 18 weeks, than Layena after that. But- there are always variables in Purina's recommendations, I suggest looking at their website for more info.

The older laying birds can eat the Flock Raiser for a while, but be sure they have constant access to oyster shell for the calcium they need.

Good luck, it's a pain trying to sort all the foods out for different ages! [IMG]
