I have a GQF sportsman 1502 and LOVE it. If you want to get serious about hatching eggs, this is a great incubator but if you only want to do a dozen or so a year, it's way overkill.

[IMG] I love my Sportsman. It is an older one that originally had a wafer thermostat that we converted over to a digital thermostat. It works great.

Quote:Thanks! I just hatched out 40 blrws in it! I bought it from some old guy that used to hatch emus in it. It has a electronic thermostate and a wafer the number on the thermostate is 3140... in other words I have no idea what model it is??? I'm thinking its a 1500 or maybe a 1266 with the thermostat added. I'll look up the 1402. They're about 10 years old... I got all 3 for $700 [IMG]

They don't make the 1402 any more but it is like the 1500. That was a great buy for $700.

I have two GQFs and they're great! I incubate peafowl eggs quite a bit and the Emu trays that came with them work great for pea eggs!
