Hi, we have plunged into owning chickens! Someone in this site said, "chickens are more work than cats, but less work than dogs". And that person is right! It's so easy, I have no idea why we didn't do this sooner. We bought 14 chicks: 4 Ameraucanas, 4 Leg Horns, 2 banties (we got them for free), and 4 reds! Next year our goal besides growing more veggies and raising our chickens, is beekeeping! Love our chickens, they are so much fun to watch, and see their different personalities. Just funny!
