Hi all,
I am excited to join BYC forum.
I have enjoyed farming most of my life. However, a serious car accident caused me to have to take a break for awhile. Last year my son brought home some Rhode Island reds and since they wouldn't set, I ordered buff Orpington's and now four of six are setting on eggs.I also forgot to mention, I have two chicken coups. I have a very protective leghorn rooster with the RIR chickens that free range and the Orpington hens &Roo are in an electric portable type fenced area that is quite large. I'll let them free range when I outside to make sure hawks don't prey on them.
