Been main chook lady for a group of rescue hens about three years, maybe four (!) - they're about 6 or 7 years old now and still laying (though not prolifically). When a couple of them became broody this year, it felt 'right' to give them some fertile eggs. And so the adventure takes a turn, and I'm about to see if I can handle (and the nearby neighbours will tolerate) one or two roosters
