Hey everyone! My name is Ashley and I am a new and first time chicken mom. This past Wednesday I brought home four beautiful baby girls. I have three Rhode Island Reds and one Barred Rock. I have had them less than a week and I am already madly in love with them. I'm sure I will have plenty of questions to come.

Hi Ashley, welcome to BYC!

You have a nice flock started there. Little chicks are so cute and entertaining, it's hard not to go nuts over them!

If you haven't already, check out the Learning Center for a lot of good information regarding raising chicks, coops, predators, etc. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

And drop by the FL state thread and say hello:

Congrats on the new chickies!

Welcome to BYC, Ashley. Glad you decided join our flock. Rhode Island Reds and Barred Rocks are both hardy, dependable breeds and you should get lots of large, brown eggs from them. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.

Nice to meet you Ashley, when you have questions we'll be ready for you. Have your browsed the Learning Center, it's a great place to start a chicken education.
