After spending a year poorly constructing a pretty ugly yet mostly functional coop, my dream of chicken ownership finally became reality when picked up three seven week old Schweizerhühner from a local farmer. I chose this breed because they lay a decent amount of eggs, don't really fly at all, and are an old, somewhat rare Swiss breed. Provided everything goes as planned, I should be eating an extremely expensive egg sometime in March or April. :)

[IMG] Very neat the way you 'fit' your coop and pen into the slope.
