    Hello all!
    New to the forum..new owner.
Last month, I bought my wife six chix for her birthday (2 barred Rocks, 2 Australorps, & 2 Orps)
We let them "free range" this weekend. They go crazy on grass hoppers.
It's a hoot watching them chaes each other to steal the other one's grass hopper.
A couple of margaritas and chicks discovering themselves is great entertainment.
    More to come later...Sam

We also have this funny looking little dog, that I think is part daschund, part long hair chiuaua and part ferret.
Not much bigger than the chicks, but she keeps them hearded, constantly playing Mother hen.
If one strays to far from the others, she corrals it back to the rest of the flock,
Our other dog is half huskie, half timber wolf; Still leary of the big one, but so far she just takes it stride when one of the baby peeps hops on her while she's laying down and picks off grass burrs.
