Since on 20 August we lost Greta's sister Berta due to her remaining very small (her little body finally gave up), Greta was feeling very lonely that night. She was not going to sleep, I had to take her in my lap at the dinner table and we fed her yummies from our plates to make her at least some company. I also noticed that to her it was always so much fun to do things together with Berta - if Berta laid down, so did Greta right next to her, they both dustbathed together etc etc etc.
So we decided to get Greta a new mate. The next day, Sunday, we went to a friend's house (where 3 months ago I quite unexpectedly became the owner of three marvels Bindi, Shakti and Dudu), and my partner told me to go and pick out one from the cage. Well, we both went to look at the babies the breeder had there (about 3-4 weeks old?) and I selected one based on her face (very kind and friendly), and Claudio liked another one, a male because of his colouring. So....... after he caught the girl, I saw him reach into the box and get the boy too....
Please welcome Annie and Robbie.
Their colouring remind me of seagulls and we nicknamed them so.

And my sweetie Greta, almost 2 months old...
We didn't quarantine them because we go there often and would have noticed if there was a problem with his birds. Maybe that was a bit careless, but we also couldn't imagine Greta staying on her own for a few weeks. So we put them together the same day.
I still cry for Berta but there's nothing we can do, she had to leave, and these two are not meant to replace her, as no one can ever replace another being, but rather to open a new chapter.
Just wanted to share!
