gross bumps on the back of my 5 week old French Copper Maran

can anyone identify these gross bumps and explain what they might be? she seems happy and healthy, and her coopmate doesn't seem to have any, but she has these fleshy lumps all over her back. they are really ugly.
 
I have NO idea... but I'm wondering what happens if you squeeze one? Could there be fly maggots under her skin?
