Grower?

Can chicks eat grower crumbles? I bought 2 80 lb bags, and didnt know I was gonna get chicks. Will this be ok? Do they HAVE to eat starter?

According to OSU, chick starter has 18-20% protien, and grower has 15-16% protein. I think it would be just fine feeding it to the chickies.

Is starter not available where you are?

I cant find any. All the places I called said that grower wil be fine. Plus all of their chick food is medicated, and would make the vacinations for the chicks null.
