Growing monster pumkins

    HI i am not new to pumkins,we actually have a small pumkin farm but i can never get one over 400lbs.So anyone got any ideas

    I've always wanted to grow some of those giant ones you always see the kids posing for photos by so I'm waiting to see what everyone posts.

    I did try some last year and pinched off all the blossoms but 1 like I was told too (I guess so all the growth is directed towards a single pumpkin) but the biggest one I got was about 2 lbs.

    I worked with a woman whose husband and FIL grew giant pumpkins. They hadn't won awards, but were close. She said it was like a full time job taking care of them.

    water about 1-2 gallons every day fert is start with 12-12-12 and then horse poo and then 12-12-12 every 3 wks but have to ask hubby to make sure

    They say to pinch back alot of the other pumpkins/flowers growing on the vine...just concentrate on like one pumpkin per vine...I think.. something like that anyways..

    Go on youtube..type in growing giant pumpkins..i think they give you lots of tips...
