Wow what beautiful chickens!!!! This is why I love mixes, and yours definitely match that description.

Your white one is drop dead gorgeous [IMG] . The only thing I can think of for the mix is maybe a California White with a Speckled Sussex.

All of your other birds appear to be EE mixes. You definitely have a couple EE/Barred Rocks, and the white one with a pea comb looks like straight EE (if such a thing exists).

    Here's my gender guesses:

    Mable: Definite hen
    Toots: Roo
    Elvira: Roo
    Myrtle: Roo
    Dodo: Definite Roo
    AntiSocial: Hen

I would have to agree with Pele. All roosters except the first and last birds.

    Thanks for all the reply's-
They are all ~8-9 weeks old [IMG]
    Here is my question...
The 2 BR mixes that we have (elvira and anti-social) are completely different...
Elvira is darker, has black on her legs, a longer tail, feathered first, and a more pronounced comb.
Our other- is overall bigger, stands taller, has a larger chest with golden coloring starting to come in, a shorter tail, was slower to get it's feathers, and has all yellow legs.

From all I've read- it seems like Elvira should be the pullet and our other the roo.... am I wrong? Maybe we'll never know till they crow!

Here is what I thought was a boy

Elvira has an awfully big red comb for a girl. I think he's a roo. Mabel looks like the only pullet to me.
