How cool! How does it compare in size to a chicken egg? Are you going to try and hatch it? Do people eat turkey eggs? Enjoy!

I got my first ever double yolk chicken egg yesterday also. They are about the same size. Much bigger than a large egg. I will be hatching plenty of these this spring but this one I will be eating. Yes, they taste as good if not better than chicken eggs.

How interesting- I have never heard of anyone eating turkey eggs... Since, I am a vegetarian, I couldn't figure out why I would have turkeys- you are giving me ideas! Thanks for the info..

I have a White Royal Palm that was the only one of a clutch to hatch. He is such a big pet. I have to admit I spoiled him when he was small. He loved sitting on my shoulder watching tv.....lol I had to retrain him to be a turkey when he got to big to stay in the house anymore.

When I used to have pet turkey hens we ate the eggs. They were great.

Are turkey eggs "yolk-y" like ostrich and duck eggs, or are they like chicken eggs?
