I saw MPC's Sultans... and fell in love. Why is the breed not as popular?

Then I saw Blue Splash Marans... and fell in love again.

Unfortunatley, I have to sell two....
But the four (2 of each) are coming in May!!!

Well, the sultans are probably not as popular because
    A) They are a rarer breed,
    B) They seldom lay, and when they do it's small, and white.
    C) They need extra care incold climates
    D) They are more subject to predators, having a liking of warm weather and being white. Also, the incredible amount of feathers on their legs may trip them, or slow them down when running.

Now, if they liked the cold, then they'd be fine.

[IMG] Congratulations! How exciting. I've always wanted to keep a breed like sultans, but I know they are a lot of work, and there's no way I'd be able to afford keeping something which doesn't "pay me back" with the eggs. [IMG]

I love rhetorical questions. [IMG] Now, what on earth was I going to do before I started posting in Raising Baby Chicks?
