Guinea Death

Discussion in 'Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures' started by Guinea Goonie, May 13, 2009.

  1. I lost one of my white Guineas this afternoon. I found her (and it was a female for sure) in the barn where they all do the dust bath thing.

There were no wounds or blood or missing feathers, she just expired. I am guessing she was egg bound or something.

I will truely miss this little jewell. My Guineas are pretty darn freindly and tame. She was a beautiful bird. RIP.

There must be something with the white guineas. The first bird that I lost was a white and the other got an eye injury and is now blind in one eye. The blind one is a male and the funny thing, he sat on a nest while the hen was being a bad setter. Sorry to hear of your loss a loss of any animal is saddening.
